ok, a dumb question. I have a jardine pipe of my savage now. its sounds great but a baffle is loose in the muffler and it rattles a lot. driving me nuts. Its only about 6 mos. old but they tell me I have to replace it. I will do this when I get the cash. But in the mean time I was going to goto the auto store and purchase a extention piece to go on the header pipe. I dont mind the loud noise and the cops are not a problem either. My only question is. Will it screw up the valves or engine or anything. I hate the rattle but if I screw up something it would be worse. Anybody ran a drag pipe or straight pipe successfully? Please throw me a bone here. I hear diffrent stories.
